"By far my favorite coat from kuiu. I’ve bought it in multiple patterns, I have the kenai vests also. Super soft, very stretchy and comfy. I’ve worn it as an outer layer on snowy days in the mountains. I’ve worn it in rain storms, it will keep you dry for a couple hours before soaking through."

Exactly what I needed

"Got this to bridge the insulation gap between being too light and too heavy. Tried it on In store and almost ended up getting two! Typically I sit exactly between a medium and large. I ended up loving the large because it was perfect sized to layer underneath while not being baggy or super long. Easily packable and light weight. It will be perfect for when a fleece won’t cut it on those crisp cold morning hunts!"

Favorite peice of gear I own.

"Perfect jacket. Wore this on a recent backpacking trip in the mountains to test it out. Kept me warm when it was cooler out in the morning and evenings. I even slept in it. Very comfortable and makes very little noise. Bought wize large and at 5'10"/184lbs with a more athletic build I have room under the jacket for a base layer and a hoodie if needed. It packs down decently enough but obviously not as much as down. Wind didnt seem to cut through it too much. This will always be in my pack or on me."

Q&A

what type of weather is this most suitable for and to what degree?
It is designed for cold, active hunts. I generally use this jacket down to about 25-30 degrees, but everyones body is different so if you run hot you might be able to go to lower temps
This jacket is not durable at all. I have owned it almost a year and have made it my new driving jacket. I wear it in the car for one hour a day. The insulation is poking through throughout the entire jacket. The fabric is getting roughed up really bad by my beard. I have a very soft beard. Do I have a lemon or is this how the jacket was designed?

Sizing help for thr kenai. I'm 5'8" 155lbs and will layer underneath occasionally.
The Kenai is designed to accommodate a base and mid layer underneath. To ensure proper fit, we recommend referencing the size guide. If your measurements are between sizes, we recommend ordering the size up for best fit.
