"Wore this jacket in Wyoming recently. Never got too hot never got too cold. I was skeptical about how well it would block the wind but it worked like a charm. Always had trouble finding gear that would fit and have all the qualities needed for a cold Midwest whitetail hunt and light enough to pack for days out west. This is my fist kuiu purchase and I’m sticking with the brand"

- How does the alpine jacket compare to the Rubicon jacket? The Rubicon is for mild to cold conditions also, so curious the difference as is want a jacket that is slightly lighter than the Rubicon for some occasions.
- The Rubicon and Alpine Hooded Jackets are the same weight, but the Alpine Hooded Jacket will have an improved storm hood and hem cinch. The Alpine also does not have the black stretch panels that the Rubicon had which allows you to blend in better in the field
